Warsaw, June 2025 – This year’s 25th anniversary of the Forum Odpowiedzialnego Biznesu/Responsible Business Forum (FOB) was a milestone for Poland’s sustainability community – and Artha Consulting Network had the privilege to contribute in a very special way. Together with Paul Dickinson, Co-Founder of CDP and Partner at Transition Value Partners, and Robert Adamczyk, ESG Advisor at EBRD and Management Board Member at FOB we led the workshop “From Ambition to Action: How to Build a Credible Climate Transition Plan”, bringing global insights on how leaders and businesses can convert climate challenges into meaningful, actionable opportunities for change.
The workshop – hosted by Paul Dickinson, Robert Adamczyk and the Artha team – tackled one of the most urgent challenges of our time: how to design transition plans that are not only visionary, but also financially and operationally realistic.
“Transition planning is no longer a niche exercise. It’s the strategic roadmap that determines which companies will thrive in a decarbonising economy,” said Paul Dickinson during the session. Backed by CDP’s latest dataset covering more than 22,700 companies, Paul reminded us how rare truly credible plans remain: of nearly 5,900 firms claiming 1.5°C alignment in 2023, only 140 met all 21 credibility indicators – with none from Poland.
Three key insights from the workshop:
· Credibility – interim targets and clear financial detail build trust.
· Knowledge – finance must speak carbon, and sustainability must speak EBITDA.
· Leadership – transition plans must be owned by boards, CFOs and COOs, not just signed off.

Beyond the workshop, Paul Dickinson also joined the main FOB conference, where he took part in a PowerChat with Irena Pichola, CEO of Artha Consulting Network and also President of Management Board at FOB, educating Polish market for more than 2 decades. Their conversation reinforced the central message of the event: that transparency, accountability, and credible planning are the foundation of a sustainable future.
The broader FOB anniversary programme – under the honorary patronage of Poland’s EU Council Presidency – brought together voices from organizations such as CDP, CSR Europe, WBCSD and leading Polish companies. Discussions ranged from business resilience in uncertain times, to the evolving role of leadership, to the opportunities and challenges of ESG integration.
For Artha Consulting Network, being part of this milestone celebration was a reminder of our mission: to guide organizations through sustainable transformation with clarity, ambition, and meaning. Leadership, vision and impact are central to this journey – and we are ready to help businesses move from ambition to credible action.
