This is the third webinar hosted by Artha Consulting Network and the first dedicated to biodiversity. Artha Consulting Network’s analysis covers ESRS E4 disclosures under the CSRD by WIG20, WIG40 and WIG80 companies for 2024 and 2025 – the first comparative analysis of its kind on the market.
Below is a snapshot of the current landscape that sets the scene for the discussion:
What has changed
● Disclosure maturity is up: from 45% to 60% – we are seeing more complete, higher-quality data
● Still only one in six companies considers nature material
● There is a clear need for a tailored, data-driven methodology for assessing impacts and dependencies
Where disclosures fall short
● Financial effects of nature-related risks: not disclosed
● Measurable targets: no change for the second year running
● Named accountability at board level: ~3% of companies
What this means for management boards in 2026
● Biodiversity should be assessed as material in the DMA more often – many companies with real exposure currently do not do so
● “Non-material” indicators will have to be justified to the auditor
